    I got scammed. I bought this one back in the day for the classic experience, but now they require a subscription. I see a classic+ on the store now, but I already paid for the classic version. I actually checked my purchase history to confirm this. They quite literally took away my purchase. I honestly ought to file a lawsuit. Really garbage business, not to mention the predatory nature of subscriptions like this one. Don't waste your time or money.

    Dishonest game. I started playing again a couple days ago and it was fun, but I started it up today and all my progress was wiped, and it's forcing a paid subscription to play this free game. I get twenty minutes of free playtime before I'm forced to choose a subscription plan. I cannot reccomend against this game, and the others in this series, vehemently enough. Wish I could rate zero stars. I will not be paying a subscription after my time was scammed from me.

    Used to be my favorite time killer. Fun, casual, but had some headroom for skill. I didn't even mind the ads, considering it was free. However, now that it is under a subscription model, absolutely useless to me. I have zero interest in their other games, and less than zero interest in being time locked to 20 minutes. Sad.

    It's straight up despicable to shoehorn a subscription service to something that never should've had it in the first place. Keep in mind that before the changes, you had to BUY the classic versions, and that was it. it was yours, a one and done deal... to then have them suddenly revoke your ownership and force you to spend more money PERIODICALLY, which, at that point, renders all the classic versions obsolete. You might as well get the modern versions and don't waste your time or money on this

    This used to be my favorite app. I had every achievement and a good ammount of event specific items. Then, Halfbrick decides to require a paid subscription, making it suddenly unplayable for me. I tried the free version that didn't require a subscription, but it is not like this one, and just seems tackier and worse. None of my blades, dojos, or achievements from this app could carry over to the other, so now I have lost any and all progress I made on this app because Halfbrick got too greedy.

    I've had this game for over a year, and it never gave me any real trouble or grief other than the occasional ad after a few games. Then they changed "Classic" into a pay-to-play shell that would make even EA sad. If you are looking to relive old memories or are planning on playing the game for the first time, do NOT get this version. I don't know if all the others are the same or similar, but I unfortunately wouldn't be surprised. TLDR: Half-brick Games, I am very disappointed in you.

    Since the update requiring you to sign in with Halfbrick, it has reverted the game back to the real "classic" edition. When I originally got the game, this is what I expected classic to be as I had nostalgia but it wasn't. I was pleasantly surprised by the upgrade to Fruit Ninja they had done with a fun leveling system and blade powers, etc. Now I am incredibly disappointed that it seems to has gone backwards. Please revert back OR split into a new game that is true classic like this update.

    This is an all-time classic for mobile gaming, and I've always enjoyed revisiting it from time to time, especially the arcade mode. I've gone on today in 2024, and find out I need to now pay a monthly subscription to have access to this game even though I've purchased it previously !?? That is an absolute joke and very anti consumer. It doesn't cost much each month, but added to every other payment that comes out my account each month, I've now got to avoid this game to save money. Dissapointed!

    I love that the game has stuck to no in app purchases, that's the main reason I don't play the "modern" version. I just wish they would keep the progression truly classic. It's very close, with the same aesthetics and fun challenges to unlock base blades, I'm just not too sure I like the upgrading blades feature. I don't remember that being in the game when I used to play. I'd rather not have that sort of "grind" in the game. Still very fun, though. PS: I have a 120hz S21 and the game runs fine.

    Everything in this game is sped up to ridiculous levels. The timer counts down at around twice the normal speed (despite saying it's at the same time), and the fruit is thrown extremely fast at the start compared to the more leisurely Fruit Ninja and Fruit Ninja 2. I really wanted to like this, seeing as how I loved the original Fruit Ninja, but the speed issues make this unplayable. It's like they took the original and set it at 2x to 4x the original speed. Don't waste your money.

    I've been playing this game since it came out. I paid for it, a one-time payment because that's how paying for apps worked back in the day. It was worth every penny and I loved the game for many years. Today I open it to find that it has turned into a mandatory subscription service? I am so sad and quite disgusted. I uninstalled and will not be back. Fruit Ninja was always one of my favourite mobile games, and I am so disappointed in Halfbrick for this change.

    DO NOT BUY IF YOU HAVE A NEW PHONE. This game uses and outdated/poorly developed game engine that speeds up based on how fast the refresh rate is on your phone. If you have a 90hz screen, the game plays at 1.5 speed. If you have a 120hz screen, the game plays at 2x speed. And there's no way to turn this off without reducing your phones screen refresh rate. Very disappointing and completely invalidates any enjoyment you get from the game when it's impossible to play

    Absolutely loved this game. One of my favorite mobile games of all time, I have a high score of a little over 6000 and have grinded this game for a while. Today, halfbrick released a new update, completely changing the game entirely, and making the entire point of buying the paid version nearly obsolete by adding a starfruit based leveling system. Change it back, please.

    Was great before the subscription which I was not allowed to bypass. I select the free version and it just offers me a discount. Unplayable. Edit to clarify: it offers supposedly a 20 minute free play with ads however it did not allow that at all for me. When I selected it, the app simply tried to offer me a different subscription deal. This is NOT a free app with in app purchases. This is a free download with a paywall. NO FREE PLAY. Hope this helps.

    It's pretty close to the original (other than the leveling system) and it's pretty fun, with ONE glaring flaw. HALFBRICK. PLEASE LISTEN TO ME. The game has a bug where it will run twice as fast as intended if your phone runs at 120 Hz, if you want the game to run smoothly, go into your display settings and turn your screen refresh rate back down to 60 Hz. HALFBRICK, THIS IS A SIMPLE FIX, DONT TIE THE GAME SPEED TO THE USERS FRAMERATE.

    It's nice to be able to have the old Fruit Ninja, but where are the mini games? They were my favorite part of the original game before it's "update". Also, the golden apples, in my opinion, made the game more beautiful and exciting. Sometimes, things are fine the way they are and you DID NOT need to modernize your already wonderful game. I'm keeping this one because it's less annoying than the "updated" version. But, please consider reconstructing the game back to how it was before.

    This game needs work. In your attempt to make this classic, you stripped it down to bare bones. The issue is those bones are strange lol. Where is the dojo!? You put the option to change blades/backgrounds in the start screen for the modes? That's not like the classic fruit ninja! Please at the very least add back the dojo. And please for the love of God don't call it the armory. Oh and let me add some more here. The quests and challenges to get the blades are gone somehow? Please add thos back

    On the pixel 5, when I'm on arcade mode, the fruits move way too fast! I haven't tried it on other game modes but when I switch to battery saver, the fruits move at normal speed. I've played this game on other devices too. I don't know if it has something to do with the smooth display but maybe a fix on this? I noticed another thing on why it goes so fast on the pixel 5. Even the clock goes like 1.5x the speed because of its 90hz. Can this get a fix?!?!

    With the latest update the game has removed dojo powers and power ups. As of now based on reading the faq there's no intention of adding them back. Blades now have a useless "card upgrade" system. This is not "classic" fruit ninja and it's not the game I paid for. I want classic game progression and features back.

    Nostalgia made me want to play this game again after 10ish years. Between the limited time "free countdown" when it claimed to let you get a 15min taste of what a subscription would be only to constantly interrupt with incessant plan offers, to then completely shutting down any possibility of play when time ran out and a monthly/annual subscription wasn't purchased... I'd be willing to play w/ads or one-time fee, but none of their games justify a subscription. Halfbrick is soulless and greedy.
