    The most recent update (4gb!) turned me off the game. It rehashed an event from 6 months ago, except they brought it back with a bunch of bugs. The loading screens take about 3 times longer and the crafting screen makes the game crash half the time. The game was getting slow and clunky for awhile since its so big, but now it's just too frustrating trying to go from screen to screen.

    Previously, this review was about the unfortunate state of this game's localization and how it degraded the quality of the game as a whole by not only rewriting parts of the story to be worse, but introducing lazy grammatical and spelling errors in the process. I'm glad to say that Nexon has publicly addressed this problem as I (and many others) asked and is working to solve the issue. Though some things could use some attention, I'm happy to be able to recommend and support this game again!

    So today, on May 13, I tried pulling for the characters. Out of 400 pulls, ONLY ONE 3 star. Did someone fall asleep on the drop rates?! I've saved up for months. I honestly feel like I deserve compensation for something after pulling blue and yellow 399 TIMES. This soured EVERYTHING. What are the chances for this?! The math doesn't even math????!!!!! 400, out of 400, only ONE 3 star. Get out of here. And give my savings back.

    More critical opinion here. The game crashes out after you open a tab like the cafe tab or the missions tab. It also chews a lot of memory and unoptimized. It is also infuriating with the translation compared to the Japanese release of the game, and as a guy who is also trying to learn the language I can see A LOT of mistranslated text that can piss me off. I used to play this game a lot. now I can't because it keeps crashing. Kindly fix the optimization issue.

    it's good and pretty unique game among other trending games right now. but man, there are lots of flaws in content comparing to other gacha games that I can't seem to start what should I list first (regarding gameplay system, I mean). and yeah, Localization is the worst thing that I never bother to read the story anymore, unless those "interesting" characters were involved.

    I enjoy the game overall, but there are two main issues. First is there is an IMMEDIATE progression wall. And I mean immediate. within probably the first day of playing, the campaign maps will be recommended for above level 20-30 before you even hit level 15. and your characters can't progress past your account level, which is tied to stamina/real time. so, you basically can freely play for a few hours, then you need to spend the next week or so just logging in for 5 mins to clear one more map

    I like Blue Archive a whole lot. The Global client is also mostly good in how it handles things, though there are definitely problems I have with the translation at times. For one thing, the localization team often refuses to translate unique character speech quirks accurately, or removes them entirely. English is the only language where Hoshino doesn't call herself an "old man". They often listen to support tickets about translation concerns...but not entirely. That annoys, but...game good.

    Visual novel-style game. Lots of story, just be patient. Lots of cute characters, too (somehow they're all high school girls? Oh, and males are depicted by Shiba dogs, I think). Combat is okay, quite fun, cannot really control movements but can control when characters use skills, but some strategizing is necessary. Gacha experience is typical. Auto and sweep mode for when you haven't got much time. All in all is quite a fun game, good for killing time.

    Could be my fav anime gacha game out there. Characters are adorable, amazing soundtrack, interesting gameplay (the characters move themselves while you choose when to use their skills). So much goodies too; relationship system, customizing cafe. And the visual novel, is ABSOLUTE cinema. A lot of arcs, very intriguing and suspenseful, some humor, complex yet easy to understand. They even included gameplay on some episodes. As for the gacha rates, it's okay, very typical.

    It's frustrating when recommended level for mission is 30 but lv30 party with upgraded skills can't beat it. Situation with bosses is even worse when rec. level is 20 and lv32 party doesn't have any chance to win. And "team composition" is not an excuse - give us more resources for character pulls in that case so that we have a possibility to pull for necessary character whenever we need.

    It is a beautiful game with a very interesting story to go along with it. Not to mention the separate stories you can go along with the characters you collect. From here, it becomes blurry. As the game is easy to play, the hard part is team building which might be a bit hard for those that are very new to this type of gameplay. Very reliant on optimum skills and team build. Also, it can become very grindy as you work your way up. Not recommend for the newbies,but in the end, YMMV.

    Blue Archive is a standout gacha game with a captivating story, endearing characters, and stunning visuals. The gameplay is enjoyable and relaxing, often feeling immersive. While deserving of high praise, minor improvements could enhance the experience. For example, refining character designs during gameplay (during battle time not the actual image of the character) and adjusting/removing some explicit content would further elevate the overall presentation

    I wasn't expecting much. From a glance, the character designs seemed too lewd to me, and I didn't think there'd be much to it. I didn't have much else to do so I started playing. And damn, does the story really get to me. Especially volume one, which was a rollercoaster for me especially in chapter 2. The gameplay is simple, but it means I can play whenever. Also, Hoshino is literally me. Only thing I would maybe suggest is being able to choose how the students refer to you other than just "they

    5 star story. 4 star gameplay. 10 star music. -1 star localization shenanigans. Yes, it's a gacha game. The story is fantastic. The characters involved are written very well and extremely likeable(for the most part). The gameplay is underwhelming at first. It gets more fun. The music heavily improves it all. The localization is often clumsy, and nearly every update something is translated bizarrely or completely wrong. Which can be frustrating if you're a weeb (Like me).

    I find the laid-back atmosphere of the game and story to be a nice change of pace and entertaining. The character designs and art are top notch and the 3D chibis are a nice addition. The gameplay is quite fun and intricate. Having the skip option for farming makes life much easier while you still get to actually play regularly with events, new stages, and raid. Overall, a very chill game. However, I find the heavy RNG aspect to gameplay offputting. Good game, but not revolutionary.

    I really enjoy blue archive, it's your stereotypical gacha plus more, such as an amazing storyline (if not a little scuffed due to the English translation). I've been playing for about 3 years or so, and have encountered some issues. But the majority issue is not the game itself but the client. As it crashes very often. During my second year of playing it crashed almost every playthrough. They fixed this after a while, but it returned. Regardless, I really love this game and would recommend. 💙

    Blue Archive, to me, has become a daily game to relax and play. The story it tells is nice and engaging, and the game play, through grinding, makes it satisfying when your efforts are rewarded. ------- I have been playing this game for a few months- enough to where I have made it to Lvl 72. The process is long, and there are only more levels to be released. In the recent update though, the game frequently crashes within seconds of opening the app. I have a Samsung Galaxy S22+ so I am confused.

    The game was wonderful, the characters and character designs were amazing.. and I enjoyed the story while I could. I'm just sad that the game no longer works on my phone... every time I try to load it up it says something about a "security event" and it closes. I guess when I get a new phone in a few months I'll try and see if it runs.. but for now I hope the rest of y'all enjoy the game.

    gameplay is more visual novel with some combat elements, but fairly engaging as of the moment. one major issue I have though is upon switching apps, even by accident, or through one of the links in game, the game almost always resets to the title screen. this is doublely frustrating when on a weak network or having battery saver mode kick on/off, as these can also cause a reset. each time this occurs, the game has to reinitialize. makes for fairly seamless play in game, until these things occur

    Recently, the translation has become absolutely horrid, with many typos, blatant inaccuracies, and seemingly malicious changes to already fine lines. That combined with the recent changing of the app title and descriptions is an incredible display of incompetence from everyone involved. I do not see much reason to continue reading the game on English if they continue this. If you only speak English, you will not receive a well translated, good story.
